Keizersgracht, or Emperor's Canal, was named in honor of Emperor Maximilian I. It is the middle of the three main canals in Amsterdam's Grachtengordel (canal belt), which was built during the Dutch Golden Age. The canal is renowned for its grand houses and historical significance.
